Questions and Answers

Judicial Council seeks proposals from structural engineering firms to provide the services of qualified, California licensed structural engineers with expertise in various phases of the design and construction of public buildings (“Proposals”). It is anticipated that selected firms will participate in periodic structural peer and plan review and assessments for assigned projects. Consultants for the purpose of this RFP will be referred to as “Service Providers.” Service Providers will be evaluated and selected to provide services primarily on a State-wide basis.

Multiple Service Providers will be selected to enter into Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (“ID/IQ”) contracts with the Judicial Council for structural engineering peer review services for new capital projects and other court facility projects as necessary, or for the provision of the services for which they propose. Those Service Providers may be assigned various projects and tasks, as may arise, based on the location and nature of the services required and the qualifications and resources of the Service Providers. Because the scope and number of projects and tasks are unknown at the time of contract execution, the contracts are known as ID/IQ contracts. The initial term of the ID/IQ contracts for these projects will be for three years with the possibility of two subsequent one-year extensions. It is anticipated that multiple ID/IQ contracts will be issued to Service Providers on a State-wide basis.

Questions regarding the RFQ should be submitted in writing to the Judicial Council of California via CapitalProgramSolicitations@jud.ca.gov on October 19, 2017, by end of business day.

Proposals must be received by no later than 2:00 p.m. (Pacific Time) on November 2, 2017.

Hard copies of proposals must be delivered to:
Judicial Council of California
Attn.: Lenore Fraga-Roberts
455 Golden Gate Avenue, 6th Floor
San Francisco, CA 94102
